ABOUT US

Pearl of Emergency for Affected Communities’ Empowerment Network (PEACENET) is a Local Non-Governmental Organization (NNGO) officially registered with the Borno State Government and recognized by the Federal Government of Nigeria (CAC/IT/No: 8324520). PEACENET was built upon the foundation of the Peace Development Association, established in 1993, which focused on promoting the inclusion of minorities, especially people with disabilities.

Our organization has been actively engaged in humanitarian and development initiatives, working closely with Local stakeholder including Government as well prominent UN agencies and international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) such as UNICEF, IOM, and WFP.

PEACENET’s programs focus on critical sectors that improve the well-being of vulnerable communities, including: Health and Nutrition: Addressing malnutrition and enhancing community health messages, Safety outcome: Promoting awareness, supporting mine action initiatives, Strengthening community protection mechanisms and supporting at-risk populations, and Disability Inclusion: Ensuring equal access to services and opportunities for persons with disabilities. These interventions align with national development priorities and government goals in promoting public health, safety, social protection, and community resilience.

PEACENET is a growing organization driven by self-funding and the dedication of unpaid volunteers. Our initiatives aim to promote safety, health outcomes, and disability inclusion, with a focus on health messages, nutrition awareness, screening, and protection monitoring.

Our strategy

PEACENET’s strategic approach is rooted in enhancing the well-being of vulnerable communities by leveraging both international and national resources to maximize impact the Partnership with both INGO and NNGO. Our strategy focuses on location-based interventions, where we will work closely with both International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs) and National Non-Governmental Organizations (NNGOs). By strengthening our system and ensuring complementarity in our operations, we aim to create sustainable solutions while minimizing operational costs through the active participation of unpaid volunteers. Our strategy will place significant emphasis on government collaboration, particularly in the critical area of nutrition.

By emphasizing collaboration, complementarity, and sustainability, PEACENET aims to continue making a meaningful difference in the communities it serves, particularly in the sectors of health, nutrition, disability inclusion, safety, and protection.
